Tours - Arts and Crafts
Nelson is famous for its arts and crafts culture. Whether your
interests are paintings, sculpture, pottery jewellery or glass,
our bespoke tours enable you to meet the artists in their own studios.
Artisans have been attracted to the Nelson region for over 200 years
inspired by the physical beauty of the local landscape and the clarity
of natural light. Today the tradition of painting is as strong as
ever.
Pottery, glass blowing and design are now also synonymous with the
region. Appointments with the artists can be arranged on request.
Alternatively, select from the tour examples below.
There many artists and craftsman in the region that we can’t
mention them all by name here. Let us know the particular artists,
interests or styles that attract you and we will be happy to arrange
an itinerary to suit.
